Thank you for choosing plantation shutters by HTX Shutters. We take pride in our quality and craftsmanship, and we stand behind every installation with our manufacturer’s warranty described below — backed by 25 years of building top-quality shutters in Houston for more than 19,000 homes.

Covered for as long as you own your home. This warranty is extended to the original purchaser and remains in effect for the lifetime of your home ownership. It is non-transferrable.

What Your Warranty Covers

Against defects in materials and workmanship, under normal use in an air-conditioned home.

✓Warp-Free Louvers Louvers will not warp from sunlight or normal moisture in an air-conditioned home.	✓Solid Panel Joinery Every panel joint is built to remain solid and tight for the life of the shutter.
✓Louvers That Stay Put Louvers will remain in the position you set them, open or closed.	✓Secure Tilt Mechanism The hidden tilt control mechanism will not pull free from the louver.
✓Durable Painted Finish10 years Paint will not crack, peel, or show “bleed through.”	✓Front Tilt Rod Hardware6 months Front tilt control rod staples will not pull free from the louver or tilt rod under normal use.

If a covered defect appears, our manufacturer will repair or replace the part or shutter: on-site or at their facility.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Dust with a lamb’s wool or Swiffer. Clean by lightly dampening a cloth with mild soap & warm water.

Limitations & Exclusions

This limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship only, and does not cover: damage from accidental contact, improper application, or unreasonable use; damage caused to shutters by settlement or structural defects of the building; damage from chemicals that cause surface deterioration, such as furniture polish or cleaners; general wear and tear expected over time; damage from any third-party modification, removal, or re-installation of our shutters; broken center louver pins, for which detailed replacement instructions and an easy-repair part can be provided; broken louvers at the hidden tilt control nail connection due to the use of force; or shutters installed in non-air-conditioned environments such as garages, attics, and similar spaces.

The warranty further excludes damages resulting from accidents, alterations, misuse, extraordinary use, or improper handling, operation, or cleaning. It does not cover variations in color, grain, or texture in wood products, nor warping of wood in high-humidity areas. Shutters are a handmade product and are not perfect. Common occurrences in wood shutters — including minor imperfections or blemishes in paint or wood, hairline or edge cracks, contraction or shifting of wood, and minor curvature or bowing — are not considered defects. Weathering of paint, including fading, color change, or reduction of gloss level, can occur and is normal. Minor imperfections not noticeable from a distance of 36″ in ordinary lighting conditions are not considered defects. Repair or replacement of a defective shutter or component is the sole and exclusive remedy under this warranty.
